Water Conveyance and Treatment Structures

Our hydraulic structural team specializes in a variety of water conveyance and treatment structures. This expertise includes cast-in-place and precast vaults, design and analysis of pump and lift stations, water supply and water treatment facilities and components (i.e., floc/sed basins, headworks, clarifiers, tanks).

Hydraulic Gates, Hydraulic Structures, and Fish Passage

With a core strength in hydraulics and hydraulic modeling, Verdantas is uniquely qualified to provide design and modification engineering services related to spillways, stilling basins, outlet structures, as well as upstream and downstream fish passage facilities (i.e., fish ladders, fish lifts, attraction water supply systems). We are proficient in the analysis, rehabilitation, and replacement of various gate systems, including vertical slide gates, fixed wheel gates, and Tainter gates.

Dam and Dam Safety Engineering

Verdantas has extensive dam safety experience in Potential Failure Modes Analysis (PFMA), stability analysis, and design of stability measures, including post-tensioned anchors. Our team has developed design reports, drawings, specifications and other submittal documentation for state and federal regulatory agencies. This experience includes the update of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Supporting Technical Information (STI) documents for several hydroelectric developments and includes sophisticated structural analysis, 3D structural modeling, and finite element modeling (FEM).
