Experts for Testing and Qualification of Fluid Components
Verdantas Flow Labs’ Flow System Engineering (FSE) team is comprised of recognized industry leaders known for solving complex flow problems for the nuclear and power utility industry. Our team of specialized engineers and technicians excel at addressing diverse challenges through physical, numerical, and/or computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling. This experience is particularly suited to component qualification and testing across a wide range of industries, including nuclear power, civil hydraulic, stormwater, process flow, petroleum, and defense. Verdantas maintains a highly regarded CFR Part 50 Appendix B audited nuclear quality assurance program that allows the team to conduct safety-related analyses and testing.
Depending on the device, Verdantas Flow Labs performs qualification testing to the relevant industry standard or develops a custom test approach when no industry standards exist. We maintain a collection of calibrated instrumentation and data collection software, along with dedicated facilities and equipment, to perform testing at high pressures, high temperatures, and/or high flows.
Using pressure, flow, temperature, and strain measurements, Verdantas Flow Labs can test any valve, including those with weld preparations that cannot be modified. In instances where valves or other components are physically too large for testing, the FSE team has the expertise to design, fabricate, and test a scaled-down test article.
