Environmental Assessment & Remediation Practice Lead

Zack Smith is a Principal and Practice Leader for Environmental Assessment and Remediation (EAR) at Verdantas. Mr. Smith has extensive experience working with clients in the aerospace, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, real estate, power, and oil and gas industries. He works with clients to develop strategies to solve complex environmental challenges. His regulatory experience includes federal and state environmental programs, including complex projects under state cleanup programs, CERCLA (Superfund), RCRA Corrective Action, and other programs. Mr. Smith focuses on emerging contaminants, including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Mr. Smith has presented at several environmental and scientific conferences on topics related to hydrogeology, environmental site characterization, and remediation. He has worked to develop and present short courses for professional credits through professional organizations. Mr. Smith participates in several working groups and technical teams through regulatory and industry organizations, including several focused on PFAS.
