Joe Roe
Geology and Geotechnical Practice Lead
With more than two decades of expertise serving the Southern California region, Joe is a seasoned Engineering Geologist who excels in managing and executing field investigations across a diverse portfolio of projects for both public and private clients. His comprehensive skill set encompasses geotechnical assessments, fault hazard evaluations, and geologic analyses. Joe has successfully overseen numerous high-profile ventures, including landslide mitigation, slope stabilization, and grading plan analysis. His involvement spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to construction services and project management. Joe is proficient in geological field mapping, soil, rock sampling, and drill logging and specializes in relative soil age dating, a critical aspect of fault criteria assessment.
Joe’s’ investigative prowess extends to forensic geotechnical and geologic analyses for litigation support. To inform material properties, he meticulously evaluates subsurface geometrical relations, including geology, faulting, and land sliding.
Joe received his BS in Geology from California State University, Fullerton, and currently serves as the President of the South Coast Geological Society.
